Red Wine from Spain - Galicia & Bierzo
A fine Galician red with an aromatic profile that immediately evokes Burgundy, despite its composition of predominantly mencía, complemented by smaller proportions of local sousón, merenzao, and brancelao grapes. Expressive and bright, combining wild cherry and violet with earthy, savoury aromas and hints of cured bacon and pot-pourri. The palate is vibrant and mouthwatering, with a distinctive granitic tension with soft, fine-grained tannins and a long, poised finish. Delicious and complex yet dangerously drinkable.
