Altolandon Bobal, Manchuela 2019

4.000000000 star rating 10 Reviews
Bobal was traditionally used to add colour and velvety texture to blends but its wild, spicy personality and succulent fruit deserve a starring role. From high-altitude vineyards near Valencia in Spain, this is one for tender spring lamb.

A peppery frame around picture-perfect fruit. Dark yet deeply exuberant red.

Herby bright fruited easy drinking red with enticing aroma, freshness and vibrancy of a Beaujolais-style alongside the typically spicy wildness of Valencia’s bobal grape. Manchuela region’s high elevation retains natural high acidity and Altolandon’s use of old, rather than new, oak enhances bobal’s bombastic bright fruits.
