White Wine from New Zealand - Nelson
In the New Zealand climate, albariño maintains its crisp, zesty lemon-focused flavours and its sea-shell salinity, but picks up a little more fleshy green apple and generosity on the mid-palate. Delicately aromatic and citrusy. This is a grape famous for the wines it produces in Spain and Portugal, and this one caught our New Zealand buyer Freddy Bulmer's eye on a recent trip to his patch.
