Bergstrom Cumberland Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2017
Red Wine from USA - Oregon
This is a beautifully poised Oregon pinot with intense cherry, redcurrant and spice now that will develop over the next 5 years. Elegant yet concentrated this is a great example of this US region's style, one that walks a line between Burgundy and Sonoma.

This estate, established on 13 acres by John and Karen Bergström, now encompasses covers 84 acres of vines over five vineyard sites amid the Dundee Hills at the northern end of Willamette Valley. Today their son Josh is managing the estate and make the wine here, making superb use of the varied soils and terroirs. Over the years the family have planted a variety of pinot noir and chardonnay clones among the oaks and Douglas firs which surround the vineyard, and they farm with an acute awareness of their beautiful environment, nurturing their vines biodynamically, without the use of chemicals of any kind.
