Crozes-Hermitage Trois Chênes, Emmanuel Darnaud 2016
Red Wine from France - Rhone
This is a more ambitious style of Crozes and comes towards the top of this estate`s range. Emmanuel Darnaud is the son-in-law of Bernard Faurie, a legendary figure on Hermitage. This comes from older vines and was raised in barrel so it has more complexity of flavour and richness. Definitely deserving a Sunday outing with a roast.

Emmanuel Darnaud
Emmanuel is a young, enthusiastic grower in Crozes Hermitage and is married to the daughter of the great Bernard Faurie. For the time being he makes Crozes and also Saint-Joseph which he inherited from his father-in-law. His family grew fruit and grapes which it sold to the cooperative in Tain l'Hermitage so Emmanuel is the first in the family to make the wine himself.
