Tollot-Beaut

Tollot-Beaut is a domaine best known for reliably delicious, lesser-known but often very good-value appellations in the northern Côtes de Beaune. Family-owned and operated, it is managed by the charming Nathalie Tollot, who regularly attends Society tastings. The estate currently comprises some 24 hectares of vines spread over a number of different sites in Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Corton including small holdings in premiers and grands crus.

Chorey-lès-Beaune in particular has become very popular with members seeking good-value pinot noir and Tollot-Beaut is one of a leading group of producers driving quality upwards here. Since 2001 the company has owned Pièce du Chapitre, a monopole situated too the north of the commune, near the border with Aloxe-Corton and a particularly good example of the appellation.

The domain’s cellars are situated on the rue Alexandre Tollot in Chorey named in honour of the current generation’s grandfather who was also for many years the Mayor here. The Beaut part of the domaine’s name comes from his wife’s family. The Tollot branch of the family is still clearly in charge here with Natalie and her cousins actively involved in all areas of the business from vineyards through to selling the wines.
