Half bottle of L'étoile Vin de Paille, Domaine de Montbourgeau 2020
This is a sweet and delicate dessert wine from eastern France, close to the Swiss border. It is made from 60% chardonnay and 20% each of savagnin and poulsard. Harvesting is a painstaking process as only perfect berries can be used, and critical too is the size of the airy attic where the grapes are dried before pressing.
