Krettnacher Euchariusberg Spätlese 'Klaus', Hofgut Falkenstein 2024
Coming from 60-year-old vines in the prime Euchariusberg slope (lso known as GrossSchock) of the Krettnacher vineyard in the Saar Valley this estate is only 10 hectares, having only been set up in 1980 and vintage after vintage is gaining a big following for its focused and pure style of riesling. 'Klaus' refers to the cask or 'Fuder' that the wine ages in. As with all the Falkenstein wines, expect plenty of tension on the palate with lime, blossom and herbal notes with an off-dry finish.
