Le Clocher Amboise, Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet 2025
White Wine from France - Loire
A new producer for us from Amboise, just east of Tours, Bonnigal-Bodet are a family estate dating back to 1927 now run by fourth generation Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and close friend Stéphane Bodet. The grapes for 'Le Clocher' are sourced from 25-year-old vines on a combination of clay flint and kaolin soils and matured for eight months in 600-litre oak barrels. The result is a flinty, smoky, and spicy chenin blanc with great texture and weight from the warm 2025 vintage. Flavours of quince, citrus, and almond provide great complexity.
