Lowerland Die Verlore Bokooi, Prieska 2024

0 star rating 0 Reviews
Lowerland is a mixed organic farm in the wild, remote, desert-like Karoo in the Northern Cape; as well as vines, Bertie and Alette Coetzee grow grain, pumpkins and pecans, and raise livestock with regenerative and holistic methods. Die Verlore Bokooi – named for 'the lost she-goat' of local Prieska legend – brings together all of the red grape varieties on the estate, representing this singular landscape in a juicy, fragrant, fruit-driven wine. A blend of predominantly merlot this vintage, with tannat (for which Lowerland are famous), petit verdot, syrah and cabernet sauvignon, this has concentrated black and red-berry fruit, wild herbs, liquorice and a spicy kick, with seamless tannins and a refreshing finish.
