'Marty McFly' Furmint, Balassa, Tokaji 2021

White Wine from Hungary
4.545450000 star rating 11 Reviews
Opulent oaked furmint from Balassa Winery based in the centre of Tokaji. This substantial wine is sourced from five separate vineyard plots and spends six months in oak barrels. The result is an intensely aromatic wine with aromas of nutmeg, orchard fruit and cedar with a full, rich palate. An impressive wine for the price.

Intense, stony and lightly wooded, this jauntily named white has citrus, fresh dough and aniseed flavours, wonderful purity and focus and racy, palate-cleansing acidity.

Graceful and harmonious this wine is a wonderful signal of what furmint can achieve in the right hands, and as the ‘real’ Marty McFly said, “Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one”.
