Mouchão Dom Rafael Branco, Alentejo 2024

White Wine from Portugal - Tejo
4.000000000 star rating 2 Reviews
Pale lemon in the glass, this 2024 Dom Rafael Branco opens with bright aromas of citrus blossom, green apple and a touch of wet stone minerality. On the palate the blend of arinto and antão vaz (and a pinch of Fernão Pires) delivers a lovely tension between vibrant lime and grapefruit zest, gently underscored by subtle tropical notes, particularly think white peach and pineapple, without ever feeling heavy. The mid‑palate is silky, framed by a delicate mineral seam and just a hint of vanilla from time spent on fine lees. Superb balancing acidity carries the wine through to a long, fresh finish that lingers on crisp green apple and a faint saline lift. This is an elegantly poised Alentejo white. Vigorous, yet beautifully refined and utterly moreish. Serve at with grilled seafood, chicken or simply as a bright, refined aperitif.
