From a spectacularly beautiful Corsican vineyard set in the ominously sounding Desert des Agriates in the northern part of the island, this is a well-polished, full-flavoured red made principally from the niellucciu grape, the local name for sangiovese. The vintage was exceptionally dry with concentration in the wine as a result.
