From a desolate spot, high above the Aude Valley, swept by Pyrenean breezes. This is one place where pinot noir thrives down in the south. Pale, fragrant and well rounded, with cherry pips and a touch of spice.

Domaine de Mouscaillo
Marie-Claire and Pierre Fort, after many years spent in the Loire valley came home to their roots in Limoux and created a tiny, bijou sized estate in a perfect location at a thousand feet above sea level. The vines, mostly chardonnay with a little pinot were planted around 40 years ago and are farmed sustainably with the idea of moving towards full organic farming in the years to come. Just three wines are made: a white, a red and recently a sparkling Crémant.
