Pinot Noir Minor, Kamil Barczentewicz 2022
Kamil Barczentewicz is part of the new generation of winemakers in Poland making their mark. With only 12 hectares in south east Poland on limestone slopes, he started making wine in 2017 and is now being recognised for his bright, pure and well-balanced wines. Based on the German and Austrian pinot noir clones there is an element of the savoury and spice, with 60% aged in barrels bringing an attractive note of the latter. Red berries and plum combine with a brightness and lightness of touch on the palate with fine-grained tannins. This wine is exclusive to The Wine Society

Evolved, shaded ruby. A little vegy on the nose. Light-bodied but pretty and recognisably Pinot. Good effort. Presumably the vines are young, so there are even better things to come. JancisRobinson.com
