Red Wine from Italy - Tuscany
This is an intense and complex wine, lifted and perfumed with notes of wild herbs, black and red cherry, and orange peel. On the palate, concentrated flavours of sweet cherry fruit and botanicals are balanced by mouthwatering acidity and firm but ripe tannins. Rich and weighty, this could match up to many a Brunello. Give this a good decant if approaching in youth. Luigi Fabbro and Katia Nussbaum farm eight hectares of sangiovese with a holistic approach which protects and promotes the biodiversity of their terroir. The resulting wines have an energy and dynamism which is truly compelling, right from their Rosso through to their top Brunello Riserva.
