Saint-Mont, Les Vignes Retrouvées 2020

White Wine from France - SW France (excl. Bordeaux)
5.000000000 star rating 2 Reviews
The Plaimont co-op is at the centre of a vineyard that never regained its confidence after the phylloxera catastrophe at the start of the last century. Saint-Mont was reconstructed from scratch using traditional grapes like gros manseng, petit courbu, arrufiac. This is dry and full-bodied with complex aromas of nectarine and citrus.

Almost unknown, traditional local grape varieties were saved from oblivion to create unorthodox, delightful wines like this. Floral yet intense, it delivers ripe melon, apple and greengage flavours, gentle lemon acidity and creamy texture with hints of mace.
