Wonderfully refined German riesling with lots of lime-dominated fruit and just enough sweetness. A perfectly stylish aperitif.

Germany’s unique gift to the wine world. Featherlight, seven years old but ridiculously youthful and inexpensive. JancisRobinson.com

There's something particularly delicious about well crafted, slightly aged Kabinett such as this one, with its fleshy, sweet fruit underpinned by lively acidity. Still some ageing potential in bottle such is the vividness of the yellow apple, melon and conference pear flavours and the energy of the lime zest. Dangerously drinkable at only 8.5% abv, this is a perfect aperitif or pairing companion to smoked eel or medium-cured cheeses.

This is a quintessential Mosel riesling with a superb tension between refreshing citrus, sweetness and acidity. A very enjoyable aperitif.

Sweetness and acidity are very obvious. This is too young to drink really, even though it’s seven years old! Whistle-clean. JancisRobinson.com
