The Society's Barbera d'Asti Superiore 2023

This barbera is from the beautiful Cascinone vineyard in Piedmont, Italy. Bursting with ripe juicy red fruit, this medium-bodied red has had time in large old oak casks, softening the tannins. A versatile food wine and particularly good with tomato-based dishes and the porcini mushrooms that are so integral to Piemontese cuisine and which we depict on the label. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with a £20 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.

The Society's Verdicchio Classico 2025

One of Italy's best buys, verdicchio makes vibrant, crisp and refreshing wines. This is from a beautiful and organic single vineyard and has a full, dry style, with grapefruit, lemon and mineral notes that slip down easily with or without food. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with an £18 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.

Bando de Corvos ‘Murder of Crows’ Tinto, Lisboa 2024

This wine is sourced from vineyards close to the city of Lisbon and is a blend of native Portuguese grapes, touriga nacional, castelao and trincadeira. They come together to create a generous, medium- to full-bodied wine full of Portuguese charm. Juicy aromas of damsons, plums, black pepper and a mellow earthiness on the nose lead to a generous, fruit-driven but mellow palate. Perfect with beef stews and dishes with earthy flavours, or just on its own. A charming, easy-going and inexpensive bottle which demonstrates authentic Portuguese charm. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with a £12 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.

Familie Mantler Grüner Veltliner, Niederosterreich 2025

From the same producers who brought us a Gemischter Satz which was a firm favourite with members this year. This is a characterful and friendly white wine from Austria's native grüner veltliner grape, with aromas of apricots, peppercorns and a mouthwatering citrus twist. The palate is dry and refreshing, with prickly pear and a touch of tropical fruit through to the finish. The Mantler family are based in the sleepy Lower Austrian town of Ebersbrunn, where they run their small estate. The winery is now managed by Thomas Mantler, possibly the smiliest man in Austria, and his wife Sarah, with Thomas' brother Benedikt now heavily involved too. Between them they have brought their family farm into the 21st century, producing excellent-value wines, whilst maintaining the rustic charm of a small family agriculture business. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with an £12 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.
