Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Rouge Paso Robles 2018

Red Wine from USA - California
3.500000000 star rating 2 Reviews
Traditional southern Rhône-style blend from the warm region of Paso Robles in California, made skilfully by Jason Haas. Brooding dark berry and plum fruits are well balanced by more savoury black olive and soy flavours that develop on the surprisingly fresh palate.

California Vintage 2013

A very high quality vintage in Napa and the Sonoma Valley. The harvest was very early with many varieties being picked almost simultaneously, and everywhere fruit quality and health was excellent. Further down the coast the situation was much the same with Central Coast and Paso Robles producing dark, intense reds and balanced, fruity whites.

Attractively bright and peppery on the nose, quite a cool climate syrah feel in a way, the blackberry fruit coming through on the medium-bodied palate, where lively acidity and a sinewy thread of tannin adds layering to the sweet fruit. 91/100
