The Kingston Family Vineyards Case
Wines included
Kingston Family Vineyards Alazan Casablanca Pinot Noir 2018
Alazan has a beautiful fragrant redcurrant and red-cherry nose, in part due to the fruit being picked early and some whole-bunch fermentation being practised. Low yields and a year in 400-litre barrels produce a silky and velvety texture. A Chilean wine of great finesse.
Kingston Family Vineyards Lucero Casablanca Syrah 2018
Lucero is a fresh, intense syrah, showing lovely floral violet aromas with a twist of black pepper. Some whole-bunch fermentation is practised to emphasise the fresh character and the wine is matured for a year in 400-litre barrels.
Kingston Family Vineyards Sabina Casablanca Chardonnay 2018
The wines are named after horses owned by the family, and ‘Sabina` is a concentrated yet crisp and fresh Chilean chardonnay. Born of low yields and a cool climate, the wine has a hint of richness from 15% malolactic fermentation, which enhances the palate with a light creaminess. Matured for 14 months in 400-litre barrels to give a slight hint of vanilla, but no more.
