The Society's Grüner Veltliner 2025
White Wine from Austria - Lower Austria
Crisp, dry Austrian white with aromas of peaches, limes and green apple. The palate is refreshing, with more stone-fruit character, lovely citrus zest and a moreish salinity. Produced especially for The Wine Society by Weingut Stadt Krems, a historic winery owned by the municipality of the city of Krems. It's made from grapes sourced from their vineyard sites across the region, offering a perfect snapshot of the grüner veltliner grape's variety, presented in an upfront and charming style. Designed to be easy drinking and perfect with or without food, this is a charming crowd-pleasing white which offers something a little different to your more famous grape varieties.

Weingut Stadt Krems
Weingut Stadt Krems is a winery in the Kremstal region of Austria, owned and run by the local municipality. For years an old-fashioned, highly conservative organisation, it has been given a new lease of life by a more outward-looking and highly trained generation now firmly at the helm. Wine quality has improved dramatically as a result. There are around 30 more winery-owned hectares of vineyards on terraced sites to the east and west of the city of Krems, planted predominantly to the varieties of grüner veltliner and riesling.
