The Society's New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025

This is a crisp, fresh and accessible sauvignon blanc with tropical notes. A pleasantly sophisticated wine made for us by Spy Valley, who have been producing some of the best-quality and best-value wine in Marlborough for a number of years now. As a smaller business than many their attention to detail through the winemaking process is outstanding. This is an easy-going, pretty and delicate sauvignon blanc, with a classic fresh-cut-grass character that complements the citrus and tropical fruit . The crisp, mouthwatering character makes it perfect with aromatic fish dishes, lunchtime salads or even just on its own. Friendly, charming, refreshing, easy-going and a great representation of the better entry-level sauvignon blancs coming out of Marlborough.

The Society's Rioja Crianza 2021

Rioja is Spain's pre-eminent wine region, renowned for its graceful, stylish wines, mainly from the tempranillo grape. The Society's Rioja is made in the classic, traditional style that Society members so adore. It is an exclusive blend from the team behind Cosme Palacio, located in Laguardia of Rioja Alta. Blended from a selection of their best barrels, this comforting crianza spends 15 months in a combination of French and American oak, which gives it its signature vanilla, savoury, spicy character. The fruit is juicy and polished with dark plums and red cherries. No wonder members keep coming back for more! The label for this member favourite pays homage to the cooperage tools that are used to make the traditional vessels the wine is aged in, which is so important to achieving this beloved style.

The Society's Sicilian Reserve Red 2022

From beautiful sun-drenched organic vineyards, the nero d’Avola fruit used for this wine is really seriously good. Picked often at night to retain freshness, it is first fermented in a state-of-the art modern winery, before all going to small oak barrels for extended ageing in Feudo Arancio’s underground cellars before blending. The bespoke blend changes each year, and we are always astonished by the value the result offers. Bold yet balanced, it’s a wine that so many of our members love, and its winning performance in our 2026 Wine Champions tastings showed why. ‘Soft, full and ripe’ with ‘plump black fruit and a hint of coffee’, it performs a brilliant balancing act between fruity generosity and oak-influenced spice and structure.

The Society's Gavi 2025

The Society's Gavi is sourced from old vines of the cortese grape, grown in the Piedmont’s gentle rolling hills. Crowd-pleasing and characterful, this versatile unoaked wine has won many fans over the years. Aromatic and zesty on the nose with an appetisingly dry palate offering refreshing appley fruit, it makes a great 'house' white to enjoy with food. It comes from La Battistina, a single estate where herbicides have not been used for more than a decade and pollinator-friendly cover crops are planted between the vines. Cut in spring and left as mulch, these crops help the soil hold water and protect these steep slopes from erosion. Away from the vines, 15% of the estate is wildflower meadow and another 15% is managed woodland. In the winery, water is measured daily, fermentation CO₂ is captured and reused, and solar panels provide part of the cooperative’s energy. Araldica also directly employs and trains seasonal workers, helping smaller growers access skilled labour while providing legal pay and accommodation support. All this comes in a lightweight 395g bottle. No wonder it has earned the title of Wine Society Pioneer for its efforts! Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with an £21 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.

The Society's White Burgundy 2025

A fine, dry white Burgundy from the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy, the warmest part of the region. The wine is fresh and vibrant, with a round mouthfeel. Aromas of spring blossom meet flavours of golden apple and stone fruit, and there is a lovely streak of salty minerality. The quality of the wine reflects the deep involvement in its selection by successive buyers and the skill of our ‘man on the ground', Jean-Marc Darbon, who excels in sourcing the right blending options for us to work with. The zander (sandre in French) thrives in the rivers of Burgundy and is shown on this wine's label. It has a fine flavour because it is carnivorous and so is much superior to that of weed-eating fish. It's as good as wild brown trout to eat and appears frequently on menus in Burgundian restaurants. Don't hesitate to try it.

The Society's Côtes-du-Rhône 2025

We have been working with the Jaume family for over 25 years and their wines continue to be a member favourite. Juicy, ripe, fruity grenache-syrah blend from this Vinsobres grower. Expect brambles and dark cherry and plums with hints of liquorice and clove spice. Juicy core and well-handled tannins.
