The Society's Loire Sauvignon Blanc 2024
The crisp, fresh and stony character of Loire sauvignon blanc merits a place in our own-label stable. Longstanding partner Bougrier have worked closely with us to produce our first Society’s Loire sauvignon blanc. Easy drinking, juicy, lemony with hints of bay leaf and grapefruit, the majority of fruit is sourced from Touraine, giving it its fragrant, chalky character. Great with fresh fish or as an aperitif.

Bougrier
Maison Bougrier is a successful family-owned négociant company in the Loire founded in 1885 now run by the fifth generation of Bougriers. The company has significant domaine and winery holdings in three major areas: Touraine, Anjou and Muscadet giving it full control over vineyards, grapes and production in a number of sites.
The Touraine area produces whites from both chenin blanc and sauvignon blanc grape varieties. Bougrier’s premium white from Touraine is made from 100% sauvignon blanc grapes and was originally labelled for us as The Society’s Touraine Sauvignon, now sold under the Les Hauts Lieux label.
Domaine Guénault is one of the family’s own properties and situated on steep slopes overlooking the Cher river, which gives the grapes excellent sun exposure. The sauvignon here is grassy and scented and a popular choice as an aperitif.
