Consistently excellent but never excessive Pomerol that shows a deft, silky palate and plenty of redcurrant, red-berry and light spice notes. Soft yet building tannins give great direction to the wine and this should age well. Drink from 2028 to 2038. 14%

Saint-Julien was the most consistent appellation in 2025 and we believe Château Lagrange to be a property to watch. After the hugely successful 2024 vintage, the 2025 is equally impressive. Although slightly shy on the nose, the palate is bursting with crunchy redberry fruit, crisp tannins and lift. Drink from 2032 to 2045. 13.6%

From the same stable as Mouton Rothschild, which is certainly follows stylistically in 2025: impressively powerful, full-bodied and generous with building layers of spicy tannins and graphite on the finish. There’s a sense of coolness to the blackberry fruit that gives this great elegance. Drink from 2033 to 2045. 13%

One of the most immediately approachable wines of the offer, Du Tertre charmed with its crowd-pleasing flesh, soft tannins and floral aromatics. Not an overly complex wine but honest and charming. Drink from 2030 to 2038. 13%

‘La Serre’ (‘The Greenhouse’) is an apt name for this suntrap property and the 2025 reflects the richness and full-bodied nature of a well-managed warm vintage. Plenty of oak and cigar box notes on the nose with dense, sweet fruit and appealing grip on the finish. One of the fuller wines of the vintage. Drink from 2028 to 2038. 14%

An impressive property sandwiched between Montrose and Calon-Ségur, and under the strong leadership of Véronique Dausse. Consistently one of our favourite Bordeaux year-on-year and the 2025 is quintessential Saint-Estèphe with brisk acidity, powdery tannins, delicate berry fruit and light herbaceousness on the finish. Medium-bodied and direct, this has great appeal for the medium term. Drink from 2032 to 2043. 13.6%

The second wine of the brilliant Pichon Comtesse de Lalande sourced primarily from younger vines to give a fruiter, earlier drinking wine. Perfumed and ethereal but still with good structure and classic framing. Consistently one of Bordeaux’s best second wines. Needs a few years to fully knit together but this will be fantastic and at a great price. Drink from 2034 to 2045. 13%
