The classical 2010 vintage was the best the region had seen since 1991, beginning with cool conditions before a very warm end to the growing season with late rains, reducing yields at Opus One by 40%. The fruit that remained was of spectacular quality, and Opus One produced a wine that masterfully combined the estate’s hallmark opulence with exceptional poise and vibrancy. Now at 16 years of age, it offers immediate pleasure but will also reward those who patiently allow it to continue to age gracefully in their Reserves.
