I last tasted the 2010 from bottle in 2023 and was struck then by how fresh and youthful it remained, so in magnum this should be in a particularly lovely place. There is still plenty of cassis and black cherry fruit, alongside graphite, dried rose, tobacco and sage, with more mature notes of leather, earth and espresso beginning to come through. Full-bodied but not heavy, with fine, integrated tannins and freshness carrying the long, savoury, mineral finish. Ready to drink now, but in magnum there is certainly no hurry; decant carefully if opening in the next few years. Drink this year to 2045. 14.5%
