This elegant, refined sparkling wine is made for The Wine Society by Gratien & Meyer, purveyors of Society-label fizz for more than a century. It comes from the Saumur region of the Loire and uses a large percentage of chardonnay in the blend, which gives the wine its length and delicacy. Light, bone-dry and refreshing, it makes for a delightful aperitif. The jester's hat on the label is a throwback to the image that adorned this wine when it was first introduced as part of a celebration range marking 25 years of The Society in Stevenage.
Crémant de Limoux Cuvée Eugénie, Antech 2023
An elegant, refined dry sparkler from the Languedoc, where the first sparkling wines were made in 1531. Chardonnay and chenin dominate the blend, and there is a lovely stream of bubbles to seduce and enliven the palate.
The Society's Celebration Crémant de Loire Rosé 2023
In being picked as a Wine Champion in our 2026 blind tastings, this recent addition to our range from our longest-standing producer, Gratien & Meyer, showed why we couldn’t resist adding it. With ‘lovely balance, red fruit and a delicious cranberry character’, it’s a fresh, elegant bottle of pink Loire loveliness. A fine way to toast 120 years of doing business with this fantastic supplier, if we say so ourselves!
