Rosso Piceno, Saladini Pilastri 2024

Red Wine from Italy - Marche
3.833333300 star rating 6 Reviews
Made in Le Marche in the east of Italy, this blend of mainly sangiovese with a dash of montepulciano is bursting with spicy cherry and hedgerow-berry scents, with supple tannins and a moreish, refreshing finish. This wine pairs easily with a wide range of foods, but is perfect with hearty Italian fare.

Saladini Pilastri

The history of the Saladini Pilastri estate stretches back to 1000 AD and the 325 hectares of vineyards cover the limestone hills of Spinetoli and the rolling sunny hills of Monte Prandone and Porto d'Ascoli. The family have been here from the beginning and the land is vitally important to them, so much so that this was the first estate in Italy to be certified organic in 1994.

Production is a mix of red and white wines with winemaking and viticulture overseen by expert oenologist Alberto Antonini. A strict selection of grapes at harvest ensures high quality here.
