The Society's Greek White 2022

4.263158000 star rating 19 Reviews
2022 was the 'perfect vintage' for moschofilero according to winemaker Leonidas Nassiakos and it shows in this blend. With 52% moschofilero providing rosehip and citrus aromas, and 48% roditis giving stone-fruit flavours and weight on the palate this lightly aromatic unoaked dry white has become a real member favourite. The new label for this popular wine depicts an owl, the fabled companion of Athena, Greek goddess of knowledge and wisdom. 2021 was a Wine Champion last year, so the ‘perfect vintage` of 2022 was a cinch in 2023. It`s a little rounder and richer and ‘totally delicious` as many members have already told us.

Scented and soaring with freshness, this Greek white is a fragrant whirl of deliciousness. Stunning when sipped with sardines, it’s sheer brilliance for under £10.

My favourite summery white under £9 is this glorious, golden, basil and rose petal-perfumed moschofilero-roditis joy

52% moschofilero, 48% roditis, unoaked - this is bright, lively and very fruity with some rose petal and lychee notes as wel as crisp lemony characters. So pretty with the focus on the fruit.

Fabulous introduction to dry Greek whites. Floral notes, touch of citrus, lime peel, grapefruit, zippy, zesty and dry.

Irresistibly moreish Greek white to sip with your tarama (Get in quick, though, because practically everyone I know seems to be buying it.)
