Members who live abroad can use our website to place orders for deliveries within the UK, either as gifts or to other organisations who can arrange onward shipment. Alternatively, you may wish buy wines to store in Members’ Reserves for future UK delivery.

Additionally, for members who live outside the United Kingdom, we offer the following services:

Channel Islands

The Wine Society offers an export service to the Channel Islands enabling members to purchase wines free of UK duty and VAT.

The majority of The Society’s listed wines can be exported free of UK duty and VAT (that is ‘in-bond’) from our bonded warehouse.  Customs and Excise regulations mean that we are able to supply unmixed cases only.

Wines will be charged to you at the time of ordering inclusive of the shipping / delivery charge, together with local taxes & agent fee.

The Society arranges two group consignments a year: one in July and one in time for Christmas:

Delivery is charged per case regardless of size.

The order deadlines provide The Society with six to eight weeks to prepare the necessary paperwork & local customs clearance.  Once wines have arrived in the Channel Islands, members will be notified by the shipping agent.

If you would like to place an order or have any further questions, please email export@thewinesociety.com.  Alternatively, please telephone 01438 741177 and ask for the Export Department.

Please note delivery charges are subject to change.

Alternatively, arranging shipping independently might offer a more cost‑effective solution. This approach would see wines being transferred from The Society to an external bonded warehouse (with our standard in‑bond transfer fee applied), and members arranging and paying for onward shipping directly with a third‑party provider.

General Export

Wines held in Members Reserves can be delivered to your preferred shipper, either bonded when purchased through En Primeur or First Release, or Duty paid. When moving wines under bond our standard In Bond Transfer Fees will apply.

To arrange delivery please contact export@thewinesociety.com.

In Bond Transfer Fees

There is an additional charge for transfers to external warehouses to reflect the administration cost of providing this service, whilst also ensuring the costs are allocated fairly across the membership.

The fees are a £25 fixed fee per transfer, plus £3 per case transferred, regardless of case size.
