Enjoy the Languedoc at its very best

Jasse Castel 2023 & Bardi d’Alquier 2024

We are delighted to offer a selection of top-notch Languedoc reds from two excellent small estates with contrasting terroirs.

The wines of Pascale Rivière at La Jasse Castel in the small appellation of Terrasses du Larzac combine high-altitude freshness with Mediterranean richness. Her vines are located on rocky limestone soils and her low-intervention approach to winemaking yields generous, full-bodied reds with notes of garrigue and spice.

Offer closes at midday Monday 2nd November

The vineyards of Thibaud Bardi de Fourtou in Faugères, by contrast, are located on stony grey schist which lends the wines impressive precision and minerality. His wines display real purity of fruit and energy and have excellent ageing potential.

Both Pascale and Thibaud are very much at the artisanal end of the winemaking spectrum, handcrafting their wines virtually single-handedly from their small cellars in the heart of their respective regions with genuine respect for nature and the local environment. I recommend both if you want a true flavour of what the Languedoc does best.
