Regarded by the Trimbachs as the 'jewel of Alsace', the Geisberg vineyard has been leased from the Ribeauvillé convent since the 2009 vintage. Nestled between two other grand cru sites, its old vines, steep terraces and complex limestone and sandstone soils make this an especially interesting site. These old vines help to produce a concentrated and powerful riesling that is both aromatic and texturally rich. In this warm and powerful vintage, the quality of the estate and the vineyard come through, producing a riesling that has salinity, balance and energy, supporting a rich, ripe profile. Drink from 2027 to 2040. 14.5%
