Red Wine from France - Savoie
From Savoie, this is a delightful, full-flavoured example of mondeuse, a decidedly Alpine grape variety that behaves somewhat like syrah. Aged in large barrels for a year, it has lots of colour, peppery bramble fruit and abundant personality.
