Dirk Niepoort has a reputation as a great innovator, unafraid to rip up the rulebook at his historic family estate. Coming from old vineyards planted between 100 and 400 metres above sea level, this pretty, silky Port opens with aromas of black cherry, plum and cassis with notes of rosemary and lavender. The palate is plush, soft and pillowy, with lovely lift to the structure. Beautifully balanced and clearly with great potential to age. This wine comes in an original wooden case.
