Au Fil de L’ILL, Vignoble du Rêveur 2023

3.500000000 star rating 4 Reviews
From a blend of grapes (pinot blanc, muscat, pinot gris and riesling) that come from mainly limestone and alluvial rich soils, this dry white has lots of weight combined with a salinity and pithy finish. Red apple, fleshy peach, tangerine and jasmine aromas are supported by a creaminess on the palate. A perfect wine to pair with summer salads, white fish or simply on its own.

One of a trio of exciting, natural-leaning new Alsace wines in The Wine Society stable from Mathieu Deiss and Emmanuelle Milan’s Vignoble du Rêveur, this blend of Pinots Blanc and Gris with Riesling and Muscat is super-pure and profoundly drinkable with a fine line of salty acidity running through the juicy Mirabelle plum and peach. Great value. A real find.

Very 21st century! Heady. Rather medicinal; but that’s not a bad thing. There is grip and character. Lime blossom. Racy and floral. JancisRobinson.com
