A complex nose of cassis, roasted coffee beans and graphite leads into a muscular palate, tightly wrapped in tannins at present, yet beautifully balanced. There is deep concentration here, along with impressive freshness and lift through to a long, lingering finish. A brilliant Lynch-Bages, and certainly a wine built for the long term.
