We offer for the first time the 2024 Pommard Premier Cru Les Bertins from Domaine Chantal Lescure, which was bought in 2023 by Jean-Philippe Girard and his associate Éric Rousseau, who is an investor and adviser. The exceptionally talented winemaker Fabrice Groussin, whose fine, elegant style I was impressed by when tasting and buying the wines he made at Domaine Changarnier in Monthélie, joined in time to make the 2024 vintage. From south of the village on the hillside near Les Rugiens, Chantal Lescure have a large 2ha holding. This has a classic clay soil with some limestone. Gently handled, this makes a fine-flavoured, beautifully balanced Pommard with supporting structure and ripe tannins. Drink from 2028 to 2035. 13.5%
