Aymeric de Gironde is one of the true characters of Bordeaux, and his 2025 Troplong Mondot was an early contender for wine of the vintage thanks to its crystal-clear expression of terroir. From one of the finest limestone terroirs in Saint-Emilion, with a broad range of altitudes and aspects, Aymeric has transformed this property in recent years into one that produces ethereal, perfumed, and finely tuned wines that whisper and caress rather than scream. Cherry, raspberry, and cranberry aromas mingle with violet and rose petal notes on the nose, while the palate is translucent and pure, with fine, fruit tea-like tannins and a gorgeous touch of bitterness to complement the sweet red fruits. 85% merlot, 13% cabernet sauvignon, and 2% cabernet franc.
